Beverly Hills Mastopexy, Breast Lift
What are your options for sagging breasts… Implants, Breast Lift or both?
Sagging breasts can cause a woman to feel less desirable as the breasts lose the youthful appearance and firm feel. The extent of sagging determines the procedure necessary for correction.
Patients with moderate sagging who are also considering Breast Augmentation will likely benefit from the Internal Mastopexy technique which is a unique method Dr. Thomas has developed.
Internal Mastopexy in conjuction with Breast Implants, lifts the breasts internally improving the nipple position. This procedure does not require additional scars and the result is remarkable for the right candidate. Due to the location of the incision, Internal Mastopexy is considered a scarless Mastopexy.
Patients with severe sagging usually require Full Mastopexy possibly followed by Breast Augmentation. For Full Mastopexy, incisions are made around the areola and also under the fold of the breast. If patient desires Breast Augmentation after a Full Mastopexy, Dr. Thomas recommends that the patient wait 6 months after the Breast Lift for optimal result with minimal complications.
If the Breast Augmentation and Full Mastopexy are performed at the same time, which many doctors do, the result is highly unpredictable and the scars are generally unsightly.
Dr. Thomas has always followed his professional expertise by allowing the breasts to heal for 6 months before performing breast augmentation.
We have had numerous patients who against Dr. Thomas’ recommendations chose to have Full Mastopexy with Breast Augmentation simultanously done else where return to us with poor results and regrets for not listening to an honest surgeon’s opinion.
The recovery time for Breast Augmentation with Internal Mastopexy or Full Mastopexy is approximately 7 to 10 days.
