Vi Peel Beverly Hills
My Vi-Peel Experience!
(As told by a Patient)
When I turned 30 I noticed that my skin had lost it’s luster. Not only that, but I had suffered from an onset of adult acne between the ages of 24 to 27 and had explored the wonderful world of lasers. After several months of laser therapy when I was about 27 I noticed that it had left dark spots and hyper pigmentation. I was devastated and didn’t know how I could ever repair the damage I had done to my skin. I had dark pigmented spots under my eyes, cheeks, by my nose; all over. Not to mention I had acne scars; not pitted but non the less very visible. I had lived with the pigmentation for 3 years until I turned 30. At that point I had seen a few doctors, talked to several people and was offered many a solution but I was not trusting any of the suggestions given to me. They all seemed very invasive and expensive.
Until just 7 months ago I got a referral from a trusted girlfriend to go see a doctor about some of the concerns I was having with my skin. When I arrived at the Dr’s office the news I was told was not as disappointing as I thought. I thought he was going to offer up yet another expensive and super evasive solution with lots of down time. To my surprise I was told that there was a new product out on the market called Vi-Peel. I was told that is was highly effective, safe enough for olive skin tones and could do wonders for my hyper-pigmentation, laser damage, acne scars and can even help subside current acne break outs. I was also told that he could even peel my neck and chest, which also happen to be problem areas for me. He said I would see optimal results if I did it 2 times a year. When he told me the price I was shocked. I heard people paying thousands of dollars for chemical peels and hundreds more for the after care products. Vi-Peel was only $300. My down time was only going to be two days and I would see results in just 8 days. So needless to say I made an appointment and got the Vi-Peel.
That was six months ago and just this week I was feeling like I wanted to jump start my skins radiance again so I went into Dr. Ivan Thomas’ office who now carries the Vi-Peel.
Below I’ve documented my latest eight-day experience of the Vi-Peel process:
Day 1: Wednesday Doctors Visit. When I arrived at Dr. Thomas’ office he asked me to wash off all my make-up and provided a head band for me to pull my hair off my face. After I washed up he sat me in a small office and turned a bright light on my face. He then wiped my face down with acetone. He told me that eliminates traces of oil so that the peel could be more effective. The Vi-Peel solution came in a little vile bottle and the Doctor popped it open with a bottle opener. He then poured it into a small measuring cup. He dipped sterile gauze into the solution and begin to lightly stroke the solution onto my face concentrating on the pigmented areas. He just kept applying layer after layer. He lightly applied just a few layers on my neck and chest. I recommend wearing a shirt that opens up in the front. The solution began to sting a little especially in the areas he applied several layers. The Dr. had his assistant fanned my face a bit, that seemed to help and cool me down. In total the procedure took about 20 minutes. He then gave me a little packet that had a lotion, sun block as well as two wet packed pads. The direction he gave me was to keep the Vi-Peel on overnight and then on night 1 and night 2 wipe my face with the pads provided. He told me if I felt dry to apply the lotion and if I go out during the day to apply the sun block.
That night my face was red and tight. It looked like I had taken a trip to Hawaii.
Day Two: I woke in the morning and took a shower and rinsed off the Vi-Peel solution that was applied the day before. Since it was a Thursday I had to got work. My face was red and felt dry. I applied on the lotion provided and used some mineral make-up to cover the redness. No one noticed and if they did they didn’t say anything. I actually liked it because my skin had a glow and looked tight. That night I washed my face with a gentle cleanser patted it dry and applied the first pad that was provided in my kit.
Day Three: Friday morning I woke and my face looked like I had gotten a really good tan. Almost an orange fake tan look. I noticed that around my mouth I was starting to peel. I was told not to pick it off and to leave it alone. So I put on the lotion and some mineral make-up and went to work. During the day I noticed more parts of my chin and around the edge of my nose peeling. I would tell people I was peeling and they said they didn’t notice. When I got home that night my face really started to open up. I could see the texture dulling down as the old skin began to lift away from the newer skin. The quality of the newer skin underneath was really nice. I kept applying the lotion to keep my face moisturized as it felt dry.
Day Four & Five: On day four when I awoke I rushed to the mirror and saw a lot of pieces of skin were loose around the mouth and the cheeks. I trimmed some of the skin off with scissors. I could see the quality of the new skin underneath was nice and light and smooth. I was really exited to see what my face was going to look like afterwards. I really didn’t go anywhere that day. I just stayed at home and cleaned and did laundry. At night I washed my face with gentle cleanser and just patted dry. I could see some of the skin falling off in sink. By day five on Sunday a lot of my new skin was revealed. I had patchy areas that still need to peel off. I tried really hard not to peel off. I went out and ran some errands.
Day Six: By Monday most of my face peeled off. I had residual peeling around my jaw line and ears. I just wore my hair down and it was fine.
Day 7 & 8: My skin looked really great. I noticed my tone & texture improved. Along with clarity the left over hyper-pigmentation was now 90% improved. I noticed I had an overall softer appearance and it cleared up any acne that had been breaking out before the peel. I felt a little dry so I kept applying the lotion. Which soothed my skin right away. I want to keep using the Vi-Peel every year. I feel like it enhanced my natural beauty and treated the laser, acne scars and sun damage I had.

I’m 35 years old and this is my first time ever having any type of procedure done. I was a bit skeptical at first and anxious about the final result during my first few days after I had the ViPeel. I was a little worried when my face first began peeling because I didn’t really know what to expect but I followed Dr.Thomas’s instructions carefully and did not pick at the loose skin (even though I was very tempted to). I was so amazed by the transformation after the peeling was over by the 6th day. Wow, my skin hasn’t looked this good since highschool.
I am so thankful for my new look! Before my skin tone was so uneven that I had to pile on the makeup just to feel comfortable with my appearance. I also had some acne scars to deal with. It’s been over a week now since I’ve finished peeling and my skin tone is so even and smooth that I actually am very comfortable and confident going out w/o makeup on. I still like to add a little color to my lips but now I can wear pastel colors without appearing washed out when before I could only wear darker shades.
It’s like you don’t realize how precious and fragile the skin on your face is until you’ve been given a second chance at having “youthful like ” skin again. I definitely have a new outlook on the subject of skin care. I’m going to continue using the Clinique Medical Skincare products for daily care. I’ve found that the Probiotic cleansing formula has kept my acne under control so far and I really like using the Clinique MD SPF moisturizer. It’s very lightweight w/ high protection of SPF 30. Well, I just wanted to comment on your post because I am a new great fan of the ViPeel Experience and reading your post really helped me get through my first few days!

Hi,
I’m 18 years old with afro-caribbean complexion(black girl) lol erm..i’m truly amazed by your experience of the Vi peel, i myself will be having it done real soon, i’m still but extremely scared at the same time. I was wondering what sort of cleanser or face wash to use on my face throughout the peel process and did the doctor apply it all over your chest, any reactions in those areas and how long did it take for your chest to peel.
with thanks, i hope to hear back from you soon.
