Read on to see what Dr. Ivan Thomas discussed during the seminar…

Who is Dr. Thomas?

Dr. Thomas has been in practice for 29 years and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). His level of expertise and surgical skill are widely known among his colleagues and appreciated by thousands of his patients whose lives have dramatically changed.

Handy Tips for Choosing a Plastic Surgeon:

1. Check certification, not any certification will do. American Board of Plastic Surgery.
2. Check if there is any disciplinary action history with the California Medical Board.
3. Always ask to see many before and after photos.
4. Never price shop over the phone.
5. Check out the office environment and the staff.
6. Be sure you feel safe and that all of your questions are addressed.
7. Know the ins and outs of your procedure; recovery time, surgeon’s technique, etc.

Botched Surgery on the Rise

As cosmetic surgeries are becoming more socially acceptable, more MD’s are practicing cosmetic surgery. General surgeons and practitioners are performing Plastic Surgery procedures with little or no formal training and proper certifications. Read More…

Will I loose nipple sensation after nipple reduction?

The answer is no. Dr. Thomas’ advanced technique is performed so that the nipple will not only remain sensitive but you will also be able to breast feed. Read on…

Dr. Thomas’ Nipple Reduction Technique

Over the past 20 years I have used a technique which not only reduces the length and height of the nipple but also the width, with no visible scarring. This method achieves a very normal looking nipple without violating the erectile, sensory or lactating ability. This is because the incisions are no where close to the ducts or the erectile muscle. Sensation is kept intact through three skin sensory pathways. The nipple looks, feels and reacts natural to stimulation.

Healing & Pain of Nipple Reduction

Dr. Thomas’ method is an is performed under local anesthesia. You can return back to work the next day. Sutures are removed one week later and post operative discomfort is easily managed with prescribed pain medication. The nipple should be completely healed in two weeks. <<Read an article on Inverted Nipples>>

Inverted Nipple, Desiring that Sensual Feeling?

Many of us may think that a seemingly small imbalance, such as inverted nipples of the breast should not be of great concern in our overall appearance or self worth. Unfortunately this is a common issue that does seem to have a profound impact on those who have lived with nipple inversion for quite sometime.

Lack of Sensuality and Functionality
Not only may it be aesthetically unappealing to the eye of the beholder, but it can carry other complications as well. In some cases the absence of nipple stimulation can cause a lack of sensual femininity about their bare body and sexuality. Even wearing certain clothes such as swimwear or lingerie can cause embarrassment due to the obvious appearance of nipple inversion. Functionality is just as much, if not more, a vital concern for those with more severe cases. For new mothers it can be very difficult and frustrating to breast feed since the baby cannot suckle effectively from lack of nipple projection.

What causes Inverted Nipple?
The condition of Inverted Nipples are usually due to the presence of tight or short ligaments within the nipple, which pull the end of the nipple deep down into the breast tissue. Inverted Nipples look flat, small and sunken without the ability to pop out and stay firm. In mild cases the inverted nipple corrects itself temporarily when it is stimulated by touch or cold. In severe cases however, nipple stimulation does not correct the problem.

How can Nipple Inversion be corrected?
What many do not realize, is the ease and quick recovery of Inverted Nipple Correction surgery.
This surgery requires a procedure that disconnects the ligaments allowing the nipple to rise to its natural projection. Surgery is performed through a minimal incision, leaving a minimal, if any, scar. Local anesthetic is all that is required. The operation is not overly painful and post operative discomfort is easily controlled with prescribed pain medication.

**Patients can resume their normal physical activity within only days, except touching and stimulation may cause soreness for up to 1 -2 weeks.**

Who are likely candidates of Inverted Nipple correction?
Women with inverted nipples that are not considering breast feeding in the future are excellent candidates for Inverted Nipple Correction. If you have experienced lack of self confidence or discomfort with the appearance of nipple inversion, a free consultation to determine your best personalized option is the perfect choice and strictly confidential.

Experience the Difference!
(Actual Patient Story on Inverted Nipple Correction of IvanThomasM.D.)

This is a story of one of our many well appreciated patients. She was someone who had grown to live with her condition of inverted nipples for many years because she had no idea that this condition could be corrected. She experienced lack of femininity and confidence due to this condition and didn’t learn of possible corrective surgery until her later years. She was a very hard working and self motivated individual. Before she came into our office for a free consultation she was under the impression that Inverted Nipple Correction would be a major procedure but to her surprise she learned of the simplicity and ease of Inverted Nipple Correction and that the surgery only requires local anesthetic; she immediately decided to go through with the procedure.
Not only were her aesthetic results from Inverted Nipple Correction amazing; but she was so astounded and filled with over joy from the way her new appearance made her feel. It truly gave her a boost in her self esteem to an extent she had not ever expected.
