What are my filler options?
Often you are faced with the plethora of name-brand injections to choose from. It can be hard to decipher what filler goes where, how long it will last, etc. Most commonly, we seek to refine lines & wrinkles, smooth out deep folds & creases, and fill hollow, sunken areas. Not too long ago the only product we had to choose from was collagen, which often diminished in just about 2-3 months. Today, collagen has been replaced by hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a substance that is found naturally in the body. Its molecular structure is such that it attracts water to it, volumizing the area, leading to a youthful appearance. To reach an optimal aesthetic result, it is recommended that you have a qualified doctor consult with you and advise you on the best course of action.

What is Botox?
Botulinum Toxin Type A, better known as Botox is a purified toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. It is commonly used for minimizing the visibility of frown lines and wrinkles. The Botox is injected in very small amounts directly into the muscle where the frown lines and wrinkles are prominent. The injection causes temporary paralysis of those muscles so that the lines will noticeably fade.

Can Botox Prevent Wrinkles?

What Causes Frown Lines?

Wrinkles better known as Crows feet, around the eyes, are caused from excessive squinting. Contributing sun damage also plays a role in the loss of skin suppleness. As the facial muscles contract, the aging, less supple skin, is unable to bounce back into it’s natural position causing the appearance of noticeable and eventually deep frown lines.

Exoderm Treatment and Preparedness

Risk of complication is minimal and unlikely to occur with Exoderm_Before and After Exoderm Peel and Lift.
To prevent outbreaks of skin rashes male patients may be instructed to take either Zovirax or Valtrex 2 days prior to having the Exoderm treatment and continue on the medication the following 8 days during recovery.

Patients with darker skin may notice a slight red demarcation between the jaw and neck area until the newly regenerated skin has completely healed and resurfaced. As blending creams are applied for a period of 6-8 weeks, the red demarcations will eventually disappear. In few cases prolonged erythema (redness) of the skin may occur in some patients but is only a temporary and usually resolves within a few months following the procedure.
